Big Blu Soul Revue

Big Blu Soul Revue brings the soul of San Francisco to the live stage. With an extreme passion for 60’s and 70’s soul, funk, rhythm and blues, the band shares their music influenced by legends like Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Etta James, Bill Withers and many more. Their latest release, Tongue & Groovin’, displays the band’s love of classic sounds with a fresh and dynamic approach.
The band celebrates their 10-year anniversary in 2023, formed by longtime Bay Area guitarist/vocalist, Jason Movrich. The band is comprised of a tight group of top-notch musicians, featuring the amazing vocal powerhouse, Lydia Walker.
With a wide array of infectious dance grooves, the band’s high-energy live shows prove they are one of the hottest live acts to come out of the Bay Area music scene in many years. “Our ultimate goal is to connect with our audience, get you to feel the groove that makes you want to dance,” says Movrich.
The band has performed throughout the West Coast to enthusiastic audiences at festivals like the Stern Grove Festival, Gilroy Garlic Festival, Bay Area Blues Festival, For the Funk of It Festival, and famed Northern California venues such as The Masonic Auditorium, Great American Music Hall, Blue Note Napa, Slim’s, Yoshi’s, Sweetwater Music Hall and many more. The band has shared stages and co-bills with The Revolution (Prince’s band), Fred Wesley (former band leader of James Brown’s band), Glen David Andrews, and recently as the backing band for actor/musician Jim Belushi.
